We consider the historic characteristics of the Highland breed to be the ideal and breed true to form animals with docile temperaments according to the AHCS breed standard. We have a critical eye when it comes to registration, and only the best will be registered under the Gairloch or Sky Pastures fold names. Gairloch Highlands have Fully Imported Bloodlines, which can be traced back to the Scottish Herdbook, whilst Sky Pastures are registered Pure-bred or are graded animals.
